The provisions of Government Code Sections 31870.1 to 31874
shall be applicable in the County.

The specified Government Code sections shall be effective in
Sacramento County commencing April 1, 1969, for the purpose of adjusting
retirement allowances and retirement contributions as of that date,
subject to the three percent limitation specified in Government Code
Section 31870.1.

Adjustments shall be made in retirement allowances paid under
the County Employees Retirement Law of 1937 during feature fiscal
years, commencing April 1, 1969.
As provided in Government Code Section 31870.1, such adjustments
shall be based on the annual determination by the County retirement
board of the change, if any, in the Consumers Price Index for the
immediately preceding calendar year, commencing with the retirement
board determination made with respect to the 1968 calendar year.

The provisions of this chapter relating to cost of living adjustments
shall not be applicable to any employee or officer whose services
commence on or after September 27, 1981.
