Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 4.02.100, any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter, or fails to comply with any of the regulatory requirements adopted by the Director pursuant to this chapter, is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction may be punished by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed six months, or by both. In addition, each such person shall be required to pay any and all expenses necessary to bring the subject premises into compliance with this chapter and any regulatory requirements adopted by the Director pursuant to this chapter. Each such person shall be guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of this chapter, or regulatory requirements adopted by the Director pursuant to this chapter, is committed, continued, or permitted by any such person, and he shall be punished accordingly.
