A. 
In general. The Fire Chief, or the fire officer in charge at any fire, are hereby vested with full and complete authority at such fires. Any officer of the Fire Department may cause the arrest of any person failing to give the right-of-way to the Fire Department in responding to a fire call.
B. 
Removal powers. The Fire Chief, or fire officer in charge, may prescribe certain limits in the vicinity of any fire within which no persons, except firefighters, law enforcement personnel, and those admitted by order of any officers of the Fire Department, shall be permitted to come. The Fire Chief, or officer in charge, shall have the power to cause the removal of any person from any building or area when in their opinion the continued presence of such person could result in injury or death and to cause the removal of any property whenever it shall become necessary for the preservation of such property from fire, or to prevent the spreading of fire, or to protect the adjoining property. During the progress of any fire, the Fire Chief or fire officer in charge shall have the power to order or cause the removal of all wires or other facilities and the turning off all electricity or other utility services where the same impedes the work of the Fire Department during the progress of the fire.
C. 
Resistance to firefighters. No person shall willfully offer any hindrance or resistance to any fire department personnel in the discharge of their duty, nor shall any person willfully damage or destroy, in any manner, any fire hose, fire department vehicle, or other fire department equipment belonging to the City. Persons committing such acts will be subject to arrest and prosecution.
During the progress of any fire, the Fire Chief, or in case of their absence or disability, the subordinate officer in charge, shall have the power to order the removal or destruction of any property necessary to prevent the further spread of fire.
It shall be lawful for any firefighter, while acting under the direction of the Fire Chief or other fire officer in charge, to enter upon the premises adjacent to or in the vicinity of any building or other property then on fire, for the purpose of extinguishing such fire.
It shall be unlawful for any person to tamper, meddle, or interfere in any way, with any fire alarm or fire sprinkler system or device, or any part thereof, or to make any connection therewith so as to interfere with the proper working of said alarm, system or device, or to injure, break, or destroy any machinery or fixture connected with such alarm, system or device, except to report a fire.
No person, without the consent of the Fire Department officer in command, shall drive a vehicle over any unprotected fire hose of the Fire Department when such a hose is laid down on any street, alley, sidewalk or other public way, or private driveway.
