The city council of the city, pursuant to Sections 22357 and 22358 of the Vehicle Code hereby establishes upon the basis of engineering and traffic surveys, the prima facie speed limits on portions of certain streets within the city as in Section 10.12.020.

The director of public works shall erect signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limits as set forth in Section 10.12.020 of this chapter, upon said city streets.

Violation of this chapter shall be punishable in the manner
prescribed by Section 42001 of the Vehicle Code.
