The purpose of the OS Open Space District is to provide for the preservation and conservation of the natural environment and natural resources and areas of particular value for recreational purposes while providing for such uses and development as are compatible with these objectives. The OS Open Space District is to further provide for the protection of those areas of occasional flooding within the 100-year floodplain as defined in the Borough Flood Insurance Study.

1. 
A lot or parcel may be used and a building or structure may be erected and used for any of the following purposes:
A. 
Public and private parks and recreation areas, golf courses, country clubs and swimming pools.
B. 
Horticultural uses related to the raising, propagating and selling of trees, shrubs, flowers and other vegetative material.
C. 
Agricultural uses related to the tilling of the land, the raising of horses, cattle and other livestock, and the raising of poultry and poultry products.
D. 
Accessory buildings and nonresidential structures customarily incidental to the above uses.

All conditional and special exception uses and any structures and/or buildings or other development activities associated with such uses shall be undertaken only in strict compliance with the floodway, floodproofing and other related provisions contained in this and all other applicable codes and ordinances.
