Certain documents are marked "Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1997 Edition." One copy of this document is on file in the office of the building official. The documents are published by the California Building Standards Commission. The documents, with additions, deletions, and amendments set forth in Sections 11.26.020 through 11.26.130, are adopted as the code for the abatement of dangerous buildings for the building standards of the city of San Bruno, and may be cited as such.

Section 701.1 of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1997 Edition, is amended to read as follows:
After any order of the building official made pursuant to this code shall have become final, no person to whom any such order is directed shall fail, neglect or refuse to obey any such order. Any such person who fails to comply with any such order is guilty of a misdemeanor.

Section 701.2 of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1997 Edition, is amended to read as follows:
If, after any order of the building official made pursuant to this code has become final, the person to whom such order is directed shall fail, neglect or refuse to obey such order, the building official may (i) cause such person to be prosecuted under Section 701.1 or (ii) institute any appropriate action to abate such building as a public nuisance.

Section 702 of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1997 Edition, is amended to read as follows:
Interference with Repair or Demolition Work Prohibited
No person shall obstruct, impede, or interfere with any officer, employee, contractor, or authorized representative of this jurisdiction or with any person who owns or holds any estate or interest in any building which has been ordered repaired, vacated, or demolished under the provisions of this code; or with any person to whom such building has been lawfully sold pursuant to the provisions of this code, whenever such officer, employee, contractor, or authorized representative of this jurisdiction, person having an interest or estate in such building or structure, or purchaser is engaged in the work of repairing, vacating, and repairing, or demolishing any such building, pursuant to the provisions of this code, or in performing any necessary act preliminary to or incidental to such work or authorized or directed pursuant to this code. Any such person who obstructs, impedes, or interferes as prohibited by this Section is guilty of a misdemeanor.
