As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BICYCLE
A two-wheeled vehicle that you sit on and move by turning the two pedals (flat parts you press with your feet).
E-BIKE
A bicycle that can be run on electric power and pedaling.
PEDAL CYCLES
A bicycle, e-bike, or tricycle
TRICYCLE
A vehicle similar to a bicycle with three wheels, two at the back and one at the front.
A. 
Under and pursuant to the Vehicle Code of Pennsylvania, Council hereby adopts boundaries of the Business Districts following the Borough's Zoning Map designations of the Central Business and Waterfront District as referred to in Section 3508(b) of the Vehicle Code.
B. 
After the effective date of this resolution (adopted August 17, 2023), the proper officers of the Borough are now required, requested, authorized, and directed to enforce Section 3508(b) of the Vehicle Code in accordance with its terms. Thereafter, no person shall ride a pedal cycle on sidewalks in the areas bounded by the described area above. Children riding tricycles on the sidewalks under parental supervision are exempted from this prohibition.
C. 
The zoning plan that designates the boundaries of the Borough's Commercial District and Waterfront District, as most recently adopted, is hereby expressly included, by reference, to this section.
