It is unlawful for anyone to cut, break, injure, destroy, remove, or in any way devastate the trees, shrubs, plants, ferns, foliage, turf, earth, stone, rock or any building, fence, bench or other structure or improvement on any public park or on any other public land, including avenues, streets, and lanes, situated within the corporate limits of the City of Mill Valley.

It is unlawful for anyone to throw, deposit, place or dump or cause to be thrown, deposited, placed or dumped any bottles, broken glass, garbage, ashes, paper, boxes, cans, dirt, rubbish, waste, refuse or other trash on any public park, or other public property in the City of Mill Valley or in any creek, stream or other water course in the City of Mill Valley except in waste containers provided therefor.

It is unlawful for anyone to manufacture, sell, exchange, barter or deliver any spirituous or malt intoxicating liquors, wine or cider within the boundaries of Old Mill Reservation and the Cascade Reservation.

All City parks, with the exception of the tennis courts in Boyle Park, shall be closed to public use between one-half hour after sunset and one-half hour before sunrise of the following day. Any person using any City park during such closure hours is guilty of a trespass pursuant to the provisions of California Government Code Section 37359.

It is unlawful for anyone to burn open fires, camp overnight, hold dances, use a public address system or hold any large group activities in any City park without a written permit from the Parks and Recreation Department.

It is unlawful for any person to camp or lodge in any public park, on any public street, or on any other public property within the City of Mill Valley, or on any private property within the City of Mill Valley without first obtaining permission of the owner. This prohibition shall apply whether or not such person is camping or lodging within or without any automobile, trailer coach, tent or other place of shelter.

A. 
The intent of this section is to establish regulations for the safe use of the Mill Valley Skate Park and viewing areas.
B. 
The following regulations shall apply to the use of the skate park and viewing areas:
1. 
Only manually propelled skateboards, in-line skates, scooters or roller skates shall be brought into, or used or ridden within the skate park. No motorized vehicles of any kind will be allowed in the skate park.
2. 
All persons using or riding skateboards, in-line skates, scooters, or roller skates shall wear a helmet, elbow pads and kneepads at all times.
3. 
No bicycles shall be used or ridden within the skate park area.
4. 
Skateboards, in-line skates, scooters, roller skates or shoe skates shall not be used or ridden with-in the skate park except during specified hours, which shall be posted at the skate park.
5. 
No glass bottles or containers shall be permitted in any portion of the skate park or viewing areas.
6. 
No drugs, alcohol, smoking or tobacco products shall be permitted or consumed in any portion of the skate park or viewing areas.
7. 
No knives, guns or weapons of any nature shall be permitted in any portion of the skate park or viewing areas.
8. 
The City is authorized to post additional rules as necessary for the operation of the skate park and viewing areas.
C. 
Enforcement and Penalties. Violation of any of the provisions of Section 8.36.038 may be grounds for permanent or temporary removal from the skate park and viewing areas. In addition, the City shall have the authority to seize and confiscate any property, thing or device used in the skate park or viewing areas in violation of this section. Signs shall be posted in the skate park providing notice of the applicable regulations and that any person failing to comply with these regulations is subject to citation, removal or confiscation of their skating equipment or other wheeled device.

It is the duty of the Chief of Police to safely guard and police the public parklands and other public lands of the City of Mill Valley in order that none of the restrictions herein mentioned be violated.
