A final map or parcel map may be filed pursuant to the provisions of Title 7, Division 2, Chapter 6, Article 1 of the Government Code of the State of California for the purpose of merging or showing as acreage land previously subdivided.

In the event an existing subdivision is resubdivided so that the street alignment, lot design or drainage will be changed, then the area constitutes a new subdivision and the procedure for filing tentative and final maps as outlined in this title is applicable.
