A.
The Uniform Code for Building Conservation, 1997 Edition, as published by the International Conference of Building Officials, including Appendix Chapter 1, except as may be amended by this chapter, is hereby adopted by reference as the Building Conservation Code of the City.
B.
One copy of the Uniform Code for Building Conservation shall be at all times maintained in the office of the City Clerk for use and examination by the public.
C.
The purpose of this Building Conservation Code is to prescribe regulations to preserve existing buildings while achieving the appropriate levels of safety.
