The City Engineer shall have the following powers and duties:
(a) 
Supervision of assistants. To supervise any assistants which the Council may from time to time consider necessary, provide for, appoint, and designate;
(b) 
Supervision of civil engineering. To perform and supervise all civil engineering done by the City in its corporate capacity not otherwise provided for by law;
(c) 
Deposit of fees. To deposit with the City Treasurer, all fees collected by him, taking the City Treasurer's receipt therefor; and
(d) 
Additional duties. To perform any other services delegated to him or her by law.
