The council may by resolution describe and designate highways
or portions of highways as one-way streets.

The road commissioner shall place, or cause to be placed, in
a conspicuous place on such one-way streets at the intersection of
each highway intersecting such one-way street, adequate signs bearing
the words "One-Way Street" and indicating the direction of lawful
traffic movement.

It is unlawful for the operator of any vehicle, traversing any
portion of any one-way street as designated or established by resolution
of the council, to operate such vehicle thereon in violation of the
one-way street signs placed by the road commissioner pursuant to this
chapter.
