[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Westville 11-20-2023 by Ord. No. 23-1518. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to Section 15(p) of the Act,[1] the Village of Westville hereby adopts its current paid leave policy for all Village of Westville employees as set forth in the Village of Westville's Code of Ordinances, Employee Handbook, Annual Salary Ordinances, any collective bargaining agreements to which the Village of Westville is a party and all other binding legislative actions governing paid leave adopted by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Westville, as the same may be amended from time to time. However, in no event shall the Village of Westville, as an employer, provide less than one day of paid leave per year to any Village of Westville employee.

All ordinances, resolutions, and policies, or parts thereof, in conflict with the provisions of this chapter are, to the extent of the conflict, expressly repealed on the effective date of this chapter.
If any provision of this chapter or application thereof to any person or circumstance is ruled unconstitutional or otherwise invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of this chapter that can be given effect without the invalid application or provision, and each invalid provision or invalid application of this chapter is severable.
The Clerk is directed by the corporate authorities to publish this chapter in pamphlet form. This chapter shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication in accordance with 65 ILCS 5/1-2-4.
