Town of Harwinton, CT Article III Sewerage Systems

§ 286-5 Definitions.

The following terms and phrases shall be defined as specified in § 7-245 of the Connecticut General Statutes, or any successor to that statute:

A. Sewerage system.

B. Municipality.

C. Sewerage.

D. Construction of a sewerage system.

E. Community sewerage system.

F. Acquire a sewerage system.

G. Operate a sewerage system.

H. Person.

§ 286-6 Approval of Water Pollution Control Authority required.

No municipality or person shall acquire, construct or operate a sewerage system, community sewerage system or house connection laterals within the Town of Harwinton without approval of the Harwinton Water Pollution Control Authority acting by its rules and regulations. The Water Pollution Control Authority may require any community sewerage system to include an option for future extension and connection with a municipality owned sewerage system.
