Town of Harwinton, CT Chapter 9 Ambulance Association

§ 9-1 Furnishing of ambulance service.

The Harwinton Ambulance Association may furnish ambulance service to the Town of Harwinton. The Town may make appropriations for this purpose.

§ 9-2 Obligations.

The Town of Harwinton shall fulfill all obligations to the Harwinton Ambulance Association as are required by law.

§ 9-3 Appropriations.

Notwithstanding the generality of § 9-1, any and all appropriations, other than those for purposes required by law, shall be made at the sole discretion of the Town of Harwinton acting by its legislative body.

§ 9-4 Independent organization.

The Harwinton Volunteer Ambulance Association shall remain a fully independent organization and shall be neither an agent nor agency of the Town of Harwinton.

§ 9-5 Authorization to enter agreement.

The Board of Selectmen of the Town of Harwinton is authorized to enter into, on behalf of the Town of Harwinton, an agreement with the Volunteer Ambulance Association on terms identical to §§ 9-1, 9-2, 9-3 and 9-4 of this chapter.
