The Building Inspector shall perform all of the duties and exercise all of the powers of the building authority as set forth in the Basic Building Code heretofore adopted.

The Building Inspector shall hold office until the second Monday of November 1969. The Selectmen shall after each biennial election and prior to the second Monday of November thereafter appoint a Building Inspector to hold office until his successor shall have been appointed and qualified.[1]
