Except where otherwise prohibited or at a campground, any recreational
vehicle used as a temporary living quarter, placed on sites greater
than 48 hours, must comply with the following requirements:
A. Shall be only be used for fewer than 120 days, and only between the
dates of April 15 and November 1 of any given calendar year.
B. Shall be fully registered and ready for highway use. A recreational
vehicle is considered ready for highway use if it is on its wheels
or jacking system, and is attached to the site only by quick disconnect-type
utilities and security devices.
C. Shall not be located in the required setback area and shall in no
case be located within 15 feet of a property line, notwithstanding
any easements or property agreements as written and recorded with
the York County Registry of Deeds.
D. Shall not be placed within 30 feet of another recreational vehicle
used as a temporary living quarter.
E. Shall have a written sewage disposal plan approved by the Local Plumbing
Inspector. Such plan shall have been submitted within 48 hours of
placing the recreational vehicle on a site.
F. No structures or additions shall be attached to the recreational
vehicle except for a temporary awning.
G. No coverings or tarps, whether temporary or permanent, shall be attached
to the recreational vehicle while in use as a temporary living quarter.
H. The use of electrical generators is prohibited except when there
is a weather-caused loss of power to the site's existing electrical
meter; once power is restored, the use of the generator must cease
within 24 hours.
