A.
No driver shall enter an intersection unless there is sufficient space on the other side of the intersection to accommodate the vehicle he/she is operating without obstructing the passage of other vehicles or pedestrians, notwithstanding any traffic control signal indication to proceed.
B.
All intersections within the Township of Irvington shall be designated as "Don't Block the Box" intersections, and appropriate striping and signage shall be provided.
C.
This section is consistent with and amplifies N.J.S.A. 39:4-67 by authorizing the installation of signage to be designed for this purpose and erected at intersections.
D.
There shall be a minimum penalty of $250 for violation of this section.
