No person shall operate or conduct a pool or billiard hall or parlor without having first obtained from this municipality a license so to do and upon payment to the municipality of an annual license fee of $12 per table and an annual application fee of $60.
Peddling and soliciting fees shall be as follows:
A.
Every applicant for a license shall be charged by the Township Clerk a fee of $75 per year.
B.
Any veteran who holds a special state license issued under the laws of the State of New Jersey shall be exempt from securing a license as provided herein for hawking and peddling but shall be required to procure from the Township Clerk a special veteran's permit which shall be issued upon proper identification.

Fees for trailers and portable storage containers, as provided in Chapter 307, shall be as follows:
A.
False alarms shall result in the following fees being assessed:

(1)
First false alarm in a twelve-month period, a warning is issued.
(2)
Second to third false alarm in a twelve-month period, a false alarm fee of $50 shall be imposed.
(3)
Fourth to sixth false alarm in a twelve-month period, a false alarm fee of $200 shall be imposed.
(4)
Seventh to 10th false alarm in a twelve-month period, a false alarm fee of $500 shall be imposed.
(5)
For the 11th and subsequent false alarms thereafter in a twelve-month period, a false alarm fee of $1,000 shall be imposed.
B.
In determining each twelve-month period, no false alarms shall be included beyond the immediate 12 months after said false alarms occurred.

A.
The landlord registration fee shall be included as part of the rental application fee under § 139-29 which is due annually one year from the date of the last registration. When a change of tenancy or ownership occurs within one year of the issuance of the rental certificate, the rental registration renewal date will reset to one year from the date of the issuance of the new rental certificate.
B.
Real/vacant property registration fees.

Property in foreclosure: $500.

Properties with multiple principal structures. Properties that are deemed vacant and abandoned as defined by Chapter 237 and also contain multiple principal structures shall incur an additional fee of $500 per structure per year. This fee shall not be assessed for multiple tenant spaces within a single commercial building.
(5)
Fire Bureau inspection discount. Any property owner that volunteers access to the interior portions of the property for the sole purpose of inspection by the Howell Township Fire Bureau in accordance with § 237-3H will receive a 50% discount off the first year's registration fee. To receive the discount, the property owner/responsible party must agree and execute an interior inspection of the property within 14 days of registration. The discount is only available for the first year's registration.
C.
All registration fees shall accompany the designated registration form.
