Pursuant to the authority provided in Section 40602 of the California Government Code, the City shall be bound by the signatures of persons other than the Mayor in the following circumstances:
A.
When the Mayor is unavailable, the Vice Mayor may sign in lieu of the Mayor.
B.
The City Manager or other person may sign when he or she is authorized to execute any item, by any action of the City Council.
C.
Persons authorized to approve expenditures by the City's Purchasing Policy may execute any item necessary to effectuate the purposes of such Policy, up to each such person's dollar limits.
D.
The City Attorney many sign items pertaining to legal matters, including but not limited to legal pleadings, settlement agreements and tolling agreements.
