The Recreation Board for the Borough of Langhorne shall consist of nine members, each of whom shall serve for a term of five years, except the initial appointments shall be as hereinafter provided. The Recreation Board shall exercise the powers and duties necessary to equip, operate and maintain recreation places within the Borough, pursuant to 8 Pa.C.S.A. § 2709(a).
Upon enactment of this chapter, Langhorne Borough Council shall select nine members with the appointments as follows: no more than two members for a term of one year, no more than two members for a term of two years, no more than two members for a term of three years, no more than two members for a term of four years, and no more than one member for a term of five years. As each term expires, Council shall thereafter appoint one member to serve for a full term of five years.
