Borough of Langhorne, PA Chapter 16 Blighted Property Review Committee

§ 16-1 Qualifications for membership; appointments.

A Blighted Property Review Committee shall be formed consisting of the following individuals, who shall be appointed by the Borough Council President, and shall serve a one-year term:

A. One member of the Borough Council.

B. One member representing the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Bucks, as designated by the Redevelopment Authority.

C. One member of the Borough Planning Commission.

D. The President or Vice-President of Borough Council.

E. No more than five members who shall be residents, property owners, business owners or members of the Borough.

F. One alternate member of Borough Council to participate and attend in the event the designated Council member or Council officer is unable to attend a called meeting.

§ 16-2 Conformance with state law.

Once established, said Committee shall act in conformance with the Pennsylvania Urban Redevelopment Law.[1]

§ 16-3 Construal of provisions.

This chapter shall become effective upon adoption and continue in effect until said Committee is disbanded by ordinance.

§ 16-4 When effective.

This chapter shall become effective in accordance with the provisions of the Borough Code of Pennsylvania.[1]

§ 16-5 Severability.

If any section of provision of this chapter shall be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of this chapter as a whole or any part thereof other than that portion specifically declared invalid.
