The purpose of this chapter is to provide an alternative to the statutory procedure for approval of warrants authorizing the Treasurer to disburse money.
A. 
The Treasurer may disburse money only on the authority of a warrant drawn for the purpose, when affirmatively voted and signed by a majority of the municipal officers at a duly called public meeting, except as provided in Subsection B.
B. 
Notwithstanding the provision in Subsection A, the Treasurer may disburse money on the authority of a warrant reviewed, approved and signed by either the Chair or the Vice Chair of the Town Council, for the following purposes:
(1) 
Municipal Treasurer's disbursement warrants for wages and benefits, state fees, and municipal education costs; and
(2) 
All other Municipal Treasurer's disbursement warrants for the payment of amounts due under any of the Town's accounts payable.
