Preparer. The parcel map shall be prepared by, or under the direction of, a registered civil engineer, duly licensed to practice land surveying, or a licensed land surveyor.
Contents. The parcel map shall show the location of streets and property lines bounding the property; and shall conform to the provisions set forth in Government Code Section 66445.
Map number. The parcel map shall have the parcel map number issued by the city placed on all preliminary, tentative, and final map submittals.

Dedications or offers of dedication shall conform to the provisions of Government Code Sections 66411.1(a) and 66447.

Parcel maps shall be based upon field surveys in accordance with Government Code Section 66448.

An engineer’s or surveyor’s statement shall appear on a parcel map in accordance with Government Code Section 66449. A city engineer’s statement shall appear on a parcel map in accordance with Government Code Section 66450.

The subdivider shall submit prints of the parcel map to the city engineer for checking. Unless exempted by the city engineer, the preliminary prints shall comply with the content requirements for final maps set forth in Section 16.08.060.

Parcel maps shall be reviewed and approved as provided in this section.
Original map. The subdivider shall submit to the city engineer the original tracing of the map and any duplicates per city requirements, corrected to its final form, and signed by all parties required to execute the statements or certificates on the map.
Approval by city engineer. Upon receipt of all required certificates and submittals and after ensuring the final parcel map meets the requirements of this title and the Subdivision Map Act, the city engineer shall approve the final parcel map and transmit the original map to the city clerk.
