(a) 
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to discharge or cause the discharge of any firearm within the City limits of the City of Albertville except as provided herein.
(b) 
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to maintain or operate any form of outdoor shooting range or club, outdoor skeet range or club or shooting gallery within the City limits of the City of Albertville except as provided herein.
(c) 
An indoor shooting range shall be allowed provided that, prior to the operation of the shooting range, the facility shall be approved by the City Building Inspector as being soundproof and bulletproof.
(d) 
This section shall not apply to or be construed to prohibit the lawful discharge of firearms in any of the following circumstances:
(1) 
The execution of the law or performance of duties by a law enforcement officer.
(2) 
Military parade or ceremony by a proper military officer.
(3) 
Occasional discharge for protection or in legal defense of person or property.
(4) 
At functions known as turkey shoots with shotguns only whose dates, times, and locations are advertised and held by civic, community, or charitable groups in furtherance of their civic, community, or charitable purposes and held no more often than two times per year with the permission of the Police Chief.
(e) 
Nothing in this section shall be construed to allow any action which otherwise would be considered a nuisance pursuant to state law or other City ordinances, or a violation under the Noise Ordinance in effect at this time and as it may be amended.
(f) 
Each violation of this section shall be a separate offense. Anyone who is found in violation of this section shall be guilty of an ordinance violation and shall be punished as provided in § 1-8 of this Code.

(a) 
For the purpose of this section, the term "air rifle" shall mean and include air guns, air pistols, pellet guns, pellet pistols or any implement or device capable of propelling any slug, shot, pellet or missile by means of compressed air or compressed gas or by means of any spring or spring-like device.
(b) 
It shall be unlawful for any person to shoot or discharge an air rifle within the City limits of the City of Albertville, Alabama.
(c) 
It shall be unlawful for any person to permit his or her minor child, or any minor child under his or her control or supervision, to shoot or discharge an air rifle within the City limits of Albertville, Alabama.
(d) 
It shall be the duty of any police officer, on observing a violation of this section, or in the investigation of a violation of this section wherein a sworn complaint has been made, to take any such air rifle into his or her custody and deliver the same to the Chief of Police as evidence, and such air rifle shall not be released until the investigation is completed, and, in the event the air rifle was taken from the possession of a minor child, it shall not be released to any person other than the parent, guardian or other adult person having the charge or custody of such minor child.
(e) 
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall, on conviction, be punished as provided in § 1-8 of this Code.
