A. 
No person shall store, sell, offer or expose for sale at retail or have in his possession with intent to sell or with intent to use within the City any air gun, air pistol, spring gun or any implement not a firearm which impels with force a pellet of any kind. "At retail" means any sale of less than one dozen such articles or any sale to anyone not a bona fide dealer therein.
B. 
The Mayor is hereby authorized to seize, remove and destroy any air gun, air pistol, spring gun or any implement not a firearm which impels with force a pellet of any kind, which may be used or discharged within the City or which is held or possessed in violation of this section.
No person shall unnecessarily discharge in or into any street, highway or other public place any firearm, whether projecting or exploding any bullet, cartridge, blank cartridge, cap or otherwise.
A. 
No person shall sell, offer for sale or have in his possession any knife where the blade is released by a spring mechanism including knives known as "switchblades."
B. 
The Mayor may seize, remove, confiscate and destroy any knife where the blade is released by a spring mechanism including knives known as "switchblades."

A. 
Any person who is the owner of a firearm that is lost or stolen shall report the loss or theft to the City of Chester Police Chief within 72 hours after discovery of the loss or theft.
B. 
Penalties for violation. Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be subject to a fine of not more than $1,000, or imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or both.
C. 
Definition of firearm. For purposes hereof:
FIREARM
Shall have the definition given to it by 18 Pa.C.S.A. § 6102, as may be amended from time to time.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction in a summary proceeding, be fined not more than $1,000 and costs and, in default of payment thereof, shall be imprisoned for not more than 90 days.
