In the event of a product release, requiring emergency stand-by, fire suppression costs as outlined in N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.13 or other emergency incidents the responsible party/parties may receive abatement for services from the Township for the first initial hour at no cost, but shall be subject to reimbursement fees for every hour thereafter. The cost of providing such response or stand-by shall be certified by the Fire Marshall to the responsible party/parties within 30 days of their completion. The responsible party/parties shall reimburse the Township within 30 days thereof.

Personnel and equipment shall be reimbursed at an hourly rate as calculated by the most recent schedule of equipment rates published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). All expended or damaged equipment shall be reimbursed at their current replacement cost. The cost of such equipment shall be certified by the Fire Marshal to the Township Administrator and Chief Financial Officer and the responsible party/parties within 30 days. The responsible party/parties shall reimburse the Township within 30 days thereof.
A.
Equipment shall be defined as but not limited to:
(1)
Uniforms and clothing.
(2)
Turnout gear and personal protective equipment.
(3)
Breathing apparatus.
(4)
Rope, rope equipment and harnesses.
(5)
Fire hose and appliances.
(6)
Shovels.
(7)
Firefighting tools.
(8)
Plugs and plugging equipment for spills.
(9)
Collection pools.
(10)
Firefighting pools.
(11)
Bales of straw.
(12)
Absorbent materials.
(13)
Lumber or construction materials.
(14)
Meals required for durations greater than four hours.
(15)
Government-owned heavy equipment and associated wages.
(16)
Outside contractor equipment and associated wages.
In the event a national disaster has been declared and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reimbursement is received for any of the above equipment or associated wages, the Township shall then reimburse the responsible party/parties of any monies rendered to the Township from the aforementioned fees.
