The city council hereby establishes an economic development advisory committee, consisting of ten members who shall be business owners or chief executive officers/general managers, commercial brokers and/or developers, the members shall serve staggered two year terms.

The ten members of the economic development advisory committee shall be representation of the city's business community and shall come from both large and small employers in service, office, manufacturing, retail, medical, banking, entertainment or tourism industries, new car dealerships as well as commercial brokers and developers. While all of the members of the economic development advisory committee must have a business located in the city, they may personally reside outside the city.

The economic development advisory committee shall meet quarterly to provide feedback to the economic development department staff, discuss key economic development infrastructure issues, consider the impact of municipal services on local businesses and suggest how the city may best identify and attract the optimum type of new corporate citizens and commercial development to the city.
