The Mayor for the Town of Woodway is hereby authorized, pursuant to and in accordance with RCW 46.61.415(3), to reduce the speed limit on any street within the Town to twenty miles per hour upon the adoption of appropriate procedures.

The procedures referenced in Section 9.20.010 shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following:
A. 
A review of vehicle traffic count data;
B. 
A review of safety hazards, such as vehicle lane width, pedestrian safety and sight distance;
C. 
Consultation of the manual on uniform traffic control devices as adopted by the Washington State Department of Transportation; and
D. 
Host a public meeting to take comment on the proposed change.
