A.
Maximum speed limits are established on portions of specified streets, as follows, and it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle, on any part of a street where a maximum speed limit applies, at a higher speed than the maximum prescribed for that part of the street:

B.
Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $50 and costs. Any person exceeding the maximum speed limit by more than five miles per hour shall pay an additional fine of $5 per mile for each mile in excess of five miles per hour over the maximum speed limit.

Enforcement and penalties. Any person convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of Ord. No. 2025-03 shall be sentenced to pay those fines and costs established by the applicable provisions of the Vehicle Code or any subsequent act of the General Assembly which amends said Vehicle Code.[1] Disposition of said fine or fines shall be made in accordance with the provisions of the Vehicle Code.
C.
The maximum speed limit established under Ord. No. 2025-03 shall be posted on official traffic control devices erected in accordance with regulations adopted by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation of the Commonwealth or any successor agency.
