The RA-2 zone is intended to implement the RA comprehensive plan designation by accommodating a variety of larger scale residential buildings such as multiunit buildings, including apartments and condominiums, townhomes, duplexes, and related accessory uses. Other uses may be permitted in limited circumstances when consistent with the goals and policies of the comprehensive plan. The RA-2 zone permits more intensive development than the RA-1 zone and is generally applied to areas that adjoin a detached residential zone where commercial development would not be appropriate due to a lack of traffic, visibility, or inadequate infrastructure.
