A. 
It is unlawful for any person to ride, operate or drive a nonmotorized wheeled vehicle upon any sidewalk in the city limits of Colville within the following described area:
1. 
Eastside of Oak Street;
2. 
Westside of Wynne Street;
3. 
Northside of Third Street;
4. 
Southside of Columbia Street;
including the sidewalks adjacent thereto.
B. 
Exceptions. Such prohibition shall not apply to:
1. 
The operation of a wheelchair by a handicapped person; and/or
2. 
Law enforcement officers in pursuit.
C. 
Definition. "Wheeled vehicle" shall be defined as any nonmotorized device using wheels and being operated, ridden or controlled by a person, including but not limited to: skateboards, roller skates, roller blades, bicycles, tricycles, scooters, wagons, wheelchairs and shopping carts.
D. 
Any violation of any provision of this chapter shall be a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00 and/or imprisonment for not more than 30 days in jail.
