This chapter may be known and cited as the "Township Hunting Ordinance."
HUNT and HUNTING
Mean to pursue, capture, shoot, kill, chase, follow, harass, harm, rob, or trap a wild animal, or to attempt to engage in such an activity, but does not include "fishing."
TOWNSHIP PROPERTY
Means any property owned, controlled, maintained, or managed by, or under the authority of, Egelston Township and its agencies.
A. 
Exceptions to the prohibition against hunting on Township property shall be made when required by law or when a person obtains prior written approval from the Township Board of Trustees.
B. 
Such permission shall only be granted when a need to hunt a specific animal is demonstrated.
Violations of this chapter are punishable by a civil fine of $250 or imprisonment not exceeding 90 days, or both.
