The City of Columbiana, pursuant to Section 32-5-192(a), Code of Alabama 1975, as amended, does hereby designate the chemical analysis of the breath by use of the Draeger Alcotest 7110 MKIII‑C, the Intoxilyzer 5000, or any other instrument approved by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to determine blood alcohol levels, as the test to be administered by its officers pursuant to law, to determine the alcoholic content of the blood of any person lawfully arrested for any offense arising out of acts alleged to have been committed while the person was driving a motor vehicle on the public highways of the state while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. If an individual is unable to submit to a breath test or if breath testing equipment is not available, other chemical tests of blood or urine may be used as prescribed by state law.
