The City Clerk and the City Treasurer shall, before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, each give and execute to the City an official bond conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of their offices, in the following penal sums, to wit:
A. 
The bond of the City Clerk shall be in the penal sum of $5,000.
B. 
The bond of the City Treasurer shall be in the penal sum of $100,000.
