Within one year after the return of the approved or conditionally approved tentative map to the subdivider, unless the map shall have been abandoned or the time for action on the same shall have been extended, the subdivider shall cause the subdivision or any part thereof to be surveyed and a final map thereof prepared in conformance with the tentative map as approved or conditionally approved. The final map of the subdivision shall be submitted to the City Engineer for checking and approval. The map shall be filed, together with traverse sheets, other data, and check prints, with the City Engineer at least 20 days prior to the filing of the final map by the City Engineer with the City Clerk for action by the City Council.
