Pursuant to Cal. Elec. Code §§ 1000 and 1301, the general municipal election of the City of Dixon shall be held on the same date as the statewide general election, which is the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November in each even-numbered year.

A. 
For the purposes of receiving and certifying nomination papers, canvassing the results of all municipal elections, signing and delivering certificates of election, and administering the oath to all elected municipal officers, the appointed City Clerk shall act as the City of Dixon's Elections Official.
B. 
Subject to ratification by the City Council, the City Manager of the City of Dixon shall act as the Elections Official during the period of a vacancy in the appointed City Clerk position or interim City Clerk appointment.
C. 
In the event the City Clerk position becomes an elected office, the City Manager of the City of Dixon shall act as the Elections Official, subject to ratification by the City Council.
