The office of Senior Pistol Range Maintainer - Part Time in and for the Borough of Paramus is hereby created, subject to the provisions of this article.
The Senior Pistol Range Maintainer shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council.
The Senior Pistol Range Maintainer shall receive such compensation as shall be fixed, from time to time, by the general salary ordinance of the Borough of Paramus.
The Senior Pistol Range Maintainer shall meet the following requirements:
A. 
License.
(1) 
Applicant must possess a current and valid New Jersey firearms instructor certificate or equivalent.
(2) 
Applicant must be CPR certified.
A. 
Responsible for general repairs and maintenance of the target system and backstop.
B. 
Keeping an updated inventory of PPE and equipment used on the range.
C. 
Vacuum the range floor and take out any garbage.
D. 
Perform pistol qualifications.
E. 
Assist the Training Unit with weapon training.
F. 
Operate and maintain the TI simulator.
G. 
Oversee any contracted maintenance and repair of the range.
H. 
Oversee ordering of needed supplies for range.
I. 
Make sure agencies utilizing the range follow correct procedures.
J. 
Any other tasks the supervisor in charge of the range deems necessary.
