No taxicabs shall ply or be operated upon the streets of the city without first obtaining and maintaining a current city business license pursuant to chapter 5.04 SMC and a valid license or permit to operate a taxicab from King County and/or Pierce County.

Any person, firm or corporation who violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $300.00.
