A. 
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter, unless otherwise specifically designated, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
B. 
Every person convicted of a misdemeanor shall be punished by a fine in an amount fixed by the court of not more than $1,000, or by imprisonment for a maximum term fixed by the court of not more 90 days, or by both such imprisonment and fine.
C. 
Every person convicted of a gross misdemeanor shall be punished by a fine in an amount fixed by the court of not more than $5,000, or by imprisonment for a maximum term fixed by the court of not more than one year, or by both such imprisonment and fine.

Whenever anyone is convicted of an offense under any section of this chapter, the court may impose the costs of prosecution in addition to the fine imposed.
