The following sections of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and the Washington Administrative Code (WAC), and any amendments thereto, are adopted by reference, and are included in this chapter as if fully set forth herein:

(1) 
Except where the violation is classified as a misdemeanor or gross misdemeanor, a violation of any provision of this chapter shall be classified as a civil infraction. Unless otherwise provided, a person found to have committed an infraction under this chapter shall be assessed a monetary penalty which may not exceed $500.00.
(2) 
Unless otherwise provided, a person convicted of a misdemeanor offense under this chapter shall be punished as provided in POMC § 9.02.050 (1).
(3) 
Unless otherwise provided, a person convicted of a gross misdemeanor offense under this chapter shall be punished as provided in POMC § 9.02.050(2).

Any person violating their written or signed promise to respond to a notice of an infraction or notice of violation under this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor regardless of the disposition of the charge upon which they were originally arrested or the disposition of the notice of infraction or notice of violation.
