A.
An elders commission is established consisting of the same number of members as the borough assembly. The commission shall be appointed by the mayor subject to confirmation by the borough assembly.
B.
Alternates. Two alternates shall be appointed in the same manner as the five commissioners. Alternates may attend meetings. When an alternate or alternates fill the vacancy or vacancies of regular commissioners at a meeting they shall have all the powers of a member of the elders commission.
