(A) The biweekly compensation for members of the Board of Supervisors shall be $5,835.80 effective August 24, 2025.
Beginning January 1, 2022, any increase to the salary of members of the Board of Supervisors shall be linked to salary increases for Superior Court judges. Annually, each June, the Board of Supervisors may adopt an ordinance to increase the salaries of Board members. Any increase shall be in an amount designed to maintain an annual salary no greater than 62 percent of the salary for Superior Court judges as of the date of ordinance adoption. The application of any salary increases shall be prospective and shall take effect on the sixty-first day after the date of final adoption of the ordinance establishing the salary increase.
(B) In addition to the compensation specified in subsection
(A) of this section, each member of the Board of Supervisors shall receive all benefits provided to other elected officials of the County. For purposes of this section, "all benefits" includes, but is not limited to, the health care and vision care allowance and the long-term disability and life insurance provided to elected department heads, and all amounts comparable to the amounts paid on behalf of elected department heads which would otherwise be payable as employee contributions with respect to worker's compensation contributions, unemployment compensation contributions, OASDI contributions, and the employer's and employee's contributions to the public retirement system; including the employer's contributions for service previously excluded together with the interest which would have been credited to those contributions as to any member who has elected such retrospective coverage and who has paid the employee's contribution for past service together with the interest which would have been credited to those contributions.
(C) In addition to the foregoing, the Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors shall be compensated an additional $100.00 per month.
(D) All payments of compensation to members of the Board of Supervisors shall be payable in biweekly payroll payments. Individual members of the Board of Supervisors may for any period of time waive the right to receive a portion of their salary or donate a portion of their salary to the County in accordance with Resolution No. 216-93 as amended by Resolution No. 487-97.
