The Town has entered into an intermunicipal agreement that created the Western Lakes Fire and Rescue Department, and the terms of said intermunicipal agreement are incorporated herein and made part of this chapter along with any amendments duly made to such intermunicipal agreement incorporated subsequent to its adoption, for the purposes of creating the Western Lakes Fire District, Western Lakes Fire Board, and Western Lakes Fire Commission referred to therein.

The Western Lakes Fire District is hereby officially recognized as the fire and rescue department of the Town, and the duty of providing fire, ambulance and rescue services in the Town is delegated to that department.
The Town's members on the Western Lakes Fire District Board and the Western Lakes Fire Commission shall be appointed by the Town Chair, subject to confirmation by the Town Board.
