Financial Control is defined for operational identity and serves as defined by law, ordinance, resolution and administrative direction from the City Manager. Financial Control performs fiscal planning and control, budget preparation, overall fiscal control of City financial resources including expenditure control, general accounting, collection of funds, utility billings, financial expenditures, payroll, accounting and audit coordination with outside organizations together with regular financial reporting to the City Manager and Council.

There is hereby reestablished the office of City Treasurer of the City of Rio Dell. The City Treasurer shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the City Council under the direction of the Accounting Supervisor. The City Treasurer is defined for operational identity and serves as defined by law, ordinance, resolution and direction of the Accounting Supervisor.

Those City Treasurer duties transferred to the County Auditor-Tax Collector by Ordinance No. 98 and currently being performed by the County Auditor-Tax Collector shall continue as provided by law or contract.
