The City Attorney is defined for operational identity and is appointed by a majority of the Council, serving at the pleasure of the Council on terms of cost and scope of service made definite by a legal services contract or memorandum of understanding (MOU). The City Attorney shall be a licensed attorney at law experienced in municipal law. The City Attorney shall provide legal services to the Council, City Manager and other persons on a case-by-case basis.
