The imposition of impact fees is an important method of mitigating the impact of future development on community facilities and services. As development occurs, the city will need to expand, construct and maintain existing and additional community facilities to maintain its existing standards for an increasing service population. Therefore, the city has determined that improvements and additions to community facilities are required to maintain the city's existing level of service.
