(A)
Prohibition. It shall be unlawful for any person to park or cause to be parked any vehicle along the following streets in the locations indicated. Signs shall be erected to such effect giving notice thereof.

(B)
Penalty.
(1)
Any person violating Ord. No. 1988-3 shall be fined not less than $25, nor more than $500 for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed for each and every day during which a violation continues.
(2)
(a)
Whoever violates any other provision of this schedule shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and fined not less than $25, nor more than $100 for each offense, except as provided below. Each day's violation constitutes a separate offense.
(b)
Violation of Ord. No. 2005-1, Ord. No. 2005-3 or Ord. No. 2006-10 shall be punishable by a fine as follows:
First offense | $25 |
Second offense | $40 |
Third offense | $60 |
Fourth and subsequent offenses | $60, plus $5 per prior offense up to $100 |
(c)
In determining the number of prior offenses, only violations of Ord No. 2005-1, Ord. No. 2005-3 or Ord. No. 2006-10 within the three years preceding the pending offense shall be considered.
(d)
Violations settled under divisions (B)(2)(e) and (f) below are considered prior offenses.
(e)
To avoid prosecution for an offense under Ord. No. 2005-1, Ord. No. 2005-3 or Ord. No. 2006-10, a violator may, within ten days of receiving a citation, settle the citation by payment of one-half of the specified fine at the City Building. The Chief of Police is hereby authorized and directed to cease prosecution of any citation so settled.
(f)
After ten days but prior to the court date stated in the citation, a violator may settle the citation by payment of the full amount of the specified fine at the City Building. The Chief of Police is hereby authorized and directed to cease prosecution of any citation so settled.
