If a building is protected by an automatic fire alarm system or a fire sprinkler system, or is a facility that is required to prepare and have available material safety data sheets and/or hazardous chemical inventory forms under the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986 (SARA Title III), the owner of applicable buildings shall install or cause to be installed a Knox box system and/or lock box document vault prior to the issuance of a certificate of occupancy. The lock box shall be installed on the front of the building near the main entry door and as approved by the building and/or fire code official.

Chimneys used with fireplace or heating appliances in which solid fuel is used shall be maintained with a spark arrester constructed of iron, heavy wire mesh or other approved noncombustible materials with openings no larger than one-half inch.

The most current editions of the National Fire Protection Association Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems and Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in One- and Two-Family Dwellings and Manufactured Homes are hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as if fully set forth herein by the National Fire Protection Association.
b) 
Underground fire service lines shall have a witnessed flow test prior to being connected to the overhead lines.
