The City of Lakeport hereby adopts by reference the following Parts of the 2025 California Building Standards Code, Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations, including all state amendments adopted by the California Building Standards Commission:
A. Part 1 – California Administrative Code.
B. Part 2 – California Building Code, Volumes 1 and 2 (CBC).
C. Part 2.5 – California Residential Code (CRC).
D. Part 3 – California Electrical Code (CEC).
E. Part 4 – California Mechanical Code (CMC).
F. Part 5 – California Plumbing Code (CPC).
G. Part 6 – California Energy Code.
H. Part 7 – California Wildland-Urban Interface Code.
I. Part 8 – California Historical Building Code (CHBC).
J. Part 9 – California Fire Code (CFC).
K. Part 10 – California Existing Building Code (CEBC).
L. Part 11 – California Green Building Standards Code (CALGreen).
M. Part 12 – California Referenced Standards Code.
The following international and uniform codes are also hereby adopted by reference:
A. 2021 International Property Maintenance Code;
B. 2021 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code;
C. 1997 Uniform Housing Code, published by the International Conference of Building Officials as referenced by the California Department of Housing and Community Development and pursuant to the provisions of California Health and Safety Code Sections 17958, 17958.5, 17958.7, 17958.9 and 17959.
Where the California Building Standards Codes regulations listed above differ from any provisions of the international or uniform codes, the California Buildings Standards Codes shall prevail. As used in this municipal code, “California Building Standards Code” means any and all applicable codes listed in this section and adopted by reference.

Violation of any of the provisions of the codes adopted by reference in Section 15.04.010 shall constitute an infraction punishable by a fine as set forth in Chapter 1.08 of this code. Each additional violation of the codes adopted herein shall constitute a misdemeanor and shall be punishable as set forth in Chapter 1.08 of the code.
